XLine Dubai Marina Zipline: My Experience & Honest Review

In this post, I'm sharing my personal XLine Dubai Marina experience, from getting there to facing my nerves before the ride, along with my honest thoughts on whether it was worth the price.

How to get to XLine Dubai Marina?

XLine Dubai Marina's office is located in the P2-level parking area of Dubai Marina Mall, next to Waitrose. It's not inside the main shopping area, so don't be surprised if you need to head down to the parking level to find it!

If You're Driving

1. Head to the P2 parking level of Dubai Marina Mall.
2. Follow the signs towards the Waitrose entrance.
3. Look for the XLine office on the right-hand side of the parking area. It's not directly at the mall entrance.

If You're Taking Public Transportation

1. Take the Dubai Metro to DMCC Metro Station.
2. Transfer to the Dubai Tram and get off at Dubai Marina Mall Tram Station.
3. Enter the mall and head towards Waitrose on the ground floor, on the right-hand side when facing the promenade.
4. Take the escalator beside Waitrose down to the parking level.
5. Exit the mall and walk a few metres. You'll find the XLine office on your left.

Tip: Allow extra time to locate the office, especially if it's your first visit. You don't want to be rushing around looking for it just before your booking!

My XLine Zipline Experience:

First things first.

Upon my arrival, I signed a waiver before anything else. I was then weighed by the staff and was given a wrist tag with a label of my weight. My belongings were kept in one of their lockers that you can freely use. Then, I was asked to leave everything behind, my mobile phone is exempted, though.

I was asked to join a few more people, and all of us took the free shuttle transportation provided by XLine. During our short ride towards Jumeirah Beach Residence, an instructional video was playing inside the vehicle, which I found comforting and helpful.

Shortly after, we entered a residential building, took the lift to the highest floor, and took a flight of stairs to access the rooftop. A door opened and voila! This view awaits you! 🙂

I went through a quick interview, had a few photos taken, and got fitted into a harness while my phone was secured in a provided hip belt. I don’t remember the exact order, but I do remember being the last to go.

I’ve always had a slight fear of heights (despite my hikes, especially Stairway to Heaven), but standing on the platform still made me nervous. Not scared—just nervous. The staff, all kabayans (Tagalog term for fellow country men but mostly used for Filipinos), kept things light with a bit of teasing, and before I knew it, I was already flying.

How much does XLine Dubai cost?

My XLine Dubai Marina experience in 2023 was a gift from my former colleagues, so I didn't pay for the ticket myself. At the time, the price was around AED 650 per person.

The current listed price is AED 699 for adults and AED 499 for young adventurers aged 12–16. The ticket includes one zipline ride, safety equipment, and complimentary photos and video. Prices and inclusions may change, so check the official XLine booking page for the latest rates, offers and booking details before you go.

Final Thoughts: Dubai Zipline Experience - Is it Worth it?

A friend once called me an adventure freak, and maybe this experience proved it right!

XLine Dubai Marina may not look that high from the ground, but once you're up there, it can feel intimidating, especially if you have a fear of heights. However, if you're looking to challenge that fear, this could be an experience worth considering. I felt safe throughout the ride, and knowing someone I knew worked for the company that installed the zipline gave me extra peace of mind.

Would I do it again? Probably not—not because I didn't enjoy it, but because of the price. At around AED 650 per person back in 2023, I'd rather put that money towards hiking gear or future adventures and travel expenses.

So, I'm so thank from my collagues for gifting me this experience as a farewell gift when I resigned from a previous role. They knew me and my adventure appetite so well that they knew exactly the kind of experience I'd love.

And it was incredible indeed. The adrenaline rush felt like it lasted 10 minutes, with everything seeming to slow down as I soared above Dubai Marina. Maybe that's what being completely in the moment feels like. Whatever it was, that feeling was priceless.

To top it all off, I even received a complimentary Five Guys voucher, which I finally redeemed in August 2023. Not a bad bonus, right?
