As much as I enjoyed my stay at Hannah Hotel on my first visit to Boracay, I wanted to experience a quieter side of the island on my second trip. That led me to The Strand Boutique Resort, a charming boutique resort in Boracay tucked away in a peaceful corner of Station 1—secluded enough to feel calm, yet just minutes from the beach.

The Strand Boutique Resort's Location in Boracay: Station 1
Ideal for travelers who prefer a quieter base, The Strand Boutique Resort is tucked away at the far end of Station 1 in Boracay. The resort is just a 3-minute walk from White Beach and is also within walking distance of Lambros Point and Diniwid Beach, making it a great option if you want easy beach access without staying in a busy area.

While there is a Robinsons Supermarket and a few shops at Station B Shopping Mall nearby, Boracay’s more popular cafés and restaurants are a bit farther— even for my usual walking appetite. That said, the resort offers complimentary transportation via e-trike on a first-come, first-served basis, which makes getting around more convenient.

⚠️ A Quick Note: As of October 2025, there is ongoing construction and a small cemetery beside the resort. This didn’t bother us at all during our stay, but if you’re particularly sensitive to surroundings, it’s something to consider before booking.
The Strand Boutique Resort's Accommodation - One-Bedroom Suite
Among the resort’s 13 spacious suites, we booked the One-Bedroom Suite, which was the second-lowest category and the most affordable option available at the time.
With a separate bedroom and living room, the suite instantly felt more like home. The contemporary Scandinavian-inspired interiors add to its cozy atmosphere, while two generous sofa beds in the living room face the lush garden outside. These can also be closed off with curtains for added privacy.

The suite features a three-point private bathroom, with the toilet separated from the shower area and the vanity sink. What I loved the most, though, is the private veranda, complete with another daybed and a simple rack for drying clothes. If not for the mosquitoes at night, I’d probably stay there forever.

Dining & On-Site Facilities
Meant for relaxation and retreat, the resort doesn’t rely on flashy gimmicks but instead focuses on covering the essentials. The reception offers laundry services and tour arrangements, while right across it is the Mahogany Lounge—home to the resort’s restaurant and café. It also doubles as a casual co-working space or simply a comfortable area to lounge around.

We mostly gravitated toward the Filipino dishes on the menu, though there are several other options to choose from. Breakfast is served daily and comes with a choice between a Filipino breakfast or an American breakfast.
Behind the Mahogany Lounge, you’ll also find an outdoor swimming pool with several sunbeds, as well as an outdoor shower area—perfect for cooling down after a day at the beach.
Resort Cost: What You Can Expect
As a regular Booking.com user, I booked our stay through the platform. For three nights, the total cost came to AED 648 (around PHP 10,422.70).

While this may look steep for a budget traveler like me, the rate is still on the lower side compared to big hotel chains in Boracay—especially considering we traveled during the low season.
Who This Hotel Is For and Why Stay Here?
As someone who usually sticks to budget accommodations, this resort is slightly above my normal range. However, since I was traveling with a foreign partner, we decided to splurge a little to ensure maximum comfort.
With that, I can highly recommend The Strand Boutique Resort for:
- Couples who want a tranquil stay, whether for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway
- Slow travelers & digital nomads looking for peaceful spaces to work in, away from parties and crowds
- Families & small groups who value space, comfort, and privacy
The Outstanding Hospitality: Food Poisoning Incident
Unfortunately, unlike my first trip to Boracay, I wasn't able to fully maximize this stay after we got food poisoning on our second day. From that point on, we spent most of the remaining days inside our suite while recovering, with the constant help and care of the staff.
We chose not to go to the hospital, but the staff were kind enough to provide extra medicine and share emergency contact numbers in case we needed them. To make sure we could still eat, they even prepared plain lugaw (Filipino rice porridge) for us, even though it wasn’t on their menu.

Overall Experience at The Strand Boutique Resort in Boracay, Aklan
Despite what happened, we experienced personalized hospitality at its finest at The Strand Boutique Resort. I forgot the names of the two staff members who took extra care of us, but every single person we encountered showed genuine warmth and kindness.

On top of that, the location is truly a standout—it feels like a relaxing hidden oasis on the beautiful island of Boracay, yet it’s only a short walk from the pristine White Beach. If that’s not the perfect combination, I don’t know what is.
