XLine Zipline Facts:
Flying on a Superman position (superman harness) on one of the double line setups, you will be ziplining for 1 kilometer long with a speed of (up to) 80 km/h. To know more about the requirements and terms & conditions, check it HERE!
Location: Dubai Marina
Situated in Dubai Marina Mall, the office of XLine is at the P2 Level Parking of the Mall next to Waitrose. It is NOT inside the mall area but rather in the parking area.
So, if you have a car:
- Go to P2 Level
- Drive towards the Waitrose Entrance, and you will find XLine on the right-hand side of the parking section (not directly at the entrance of the mall)
Or, if you're taking public transportation:
- Take the Dubai Metro and get off at DMCC
- Transfer to the Dubai Tram and get off at Dubai Marina Mall (1 stop away only).
- Enter the mall and head to Waitrose on the ground floor (right side if facing the promenade).
- Take the escalator beside it down to the parking level, exit the mall, and walk a few meters—XLine’s office will be on your left.
Zipline Experience:
First things first.
Upon my arrival, I signed a waiver before anything else. I was then weighed by the staff and was given a wrist tag with a label of my weight. My belongings were kept in one of their lockers that you can freely use. Then, I was asked to leave everything behind, my mobile phone is exempted, though.

I was asked to join a few more people, and all of us took the free shuttle transportation provided by XLine. During our short ride towards Jumeirah Beach Residence, an instructional video was playing inside the vehicle, which I found comforting and helpful.
Shortly after, we entered a residential building, took the lift to the highest floor, and took a flight of stairs to access the rooftop. A door opened and voila! This view awaits you! 🙂

I went through a quick interview, had a few photos taken, and got fitted into a harness while my phone was secured in a provided hip belt. I don’t remember the exact order, but I do remember being the last to go.
I’ve always had a slight fear of heights (despite my hikes, especially Stairway to Heaven), but standing on the platform still made me nervous. Not scared—just nervous. The staff, all kabayans (Tagalog slang term for Filipinos), kept things light with a bit of teasing, and before I knew it, I was already flying.
Final Thoughts: Dubai Zipline Experience - Is it Worth it?
A friend once called me an adventure freak—and this experience proved them right. XLine Dubai Zipline may not be an enjoyable experience for everyone. It may not look that high, but if you have a strong fear of heights, it can feel intimidating. That said, if you want to challenge that fear, this is a great place to start. I felt completely safe the entire time—and it helped knowing someone I know works for the company who installed it.
But at the end of the day, I probably wouldn’t do it again—not because I didn’t love it, but because it’s expensive at 650 AED. I’d rather put that toward hiking gear or future trips (logistics, guides, and all).
So how did I afford it? I didn’t. It was a farewell gift from my colleagues when I resigned—something they knew I’d absolutely enjoy.
That said, the experience was incredible. The rush felt like it lasted 10 minutes, with everything slowing down mid-air—maybe that’s what truly being in the moment feels like. And honestly, that part was priceless.
To top it off, I even got a complimentary Five Guys voucher, which I finally redeemed this August 2023. Not bad, right?

That’s it—and I’m finally hitting publish after two months (and many attempts). Ciao!
